Northglenn Arts Presents
Northglenn Arts Presents is a collaborative program that offers its audience the opportunity to experience performances outside of its own. Because of this, we are able to provide more diverse and impactful offerings that we would otherwise not have the capacity to produce ourselves. It helps create more opportunity for north metro residents, expands the collaborative organization’s reach, and allows support for all companies to thrive.
Northglenn Arts Presents has collaborated with ImaginASL, Cleo Parker Robinson Dance, Su Teatro and Black Arts Festival. ImaginASL provides live performances in both spoken English and American Sign Language and strives to entertain, educate, and unite the Deaf and hearing worlds with rich unique artistic, cultural, and theatrical experiences; Cleo Parker Robinson Dance leverages the universal language of dance to honor African American heritage, explore the human condition, and offer a transformative experience through physical movement; and Su Teatro’s mission is to promote, produce, develop and preserve the cultural arts, heritage, and traditions of the Chicano/Latino community.
These collaborations were invaluable to Northglenn Arts and led towards further collaborations in 2020. In February, we celebrated Black History Month with a one-night only Black Arts Festival collaboration with The SOURCE Theater’s The History of African American Music Part 1; and Cleo Parker Robinson Dance closed the month with Rhapsody in Black which articulated the African American influence in Paris through literature, music, and dance.
More collaborations are in the works – keep an eye out for future performances!
