Mariachi Rock Revolution

Friday May 10, 2025

Mariachi Rock Revolution is an electrifying fusion of Latin rhythms, hard rock energy, and mariachi soul—a genre-defying musical experience that smashes borders and redefines tradition. Fronted by 2-time Grammy-nominated vocalist, electric violinist, and Austin music mainstay Haydn Vitera, this groundbreaking band brings a bold and unapologetic sound that celebrates cultural pride while blazing new trails in American Latin rock.

For tonight’s MRR performance, Vitera is joined by an exceptional lineup of musicians: violinist/vocalist and Grammy nominee Felicia Rojas, guitarist/vocalist Dan Corona, drummer Kevin Abbenante, bassist Rafael Mejia and mariachi trumpeters David Ortiz and Omar Garcia.

Mariachi Rock Revolution takes classic Latin songs and anthemic rock hits—think Vicente Fernández meets Led Zeppelin—and fuses them with searing electric guitars, soaring violin lines, and infectious bilingual vocals. The result is a vibrant, high-energy concert experience that ignites audiences of all ages and backgrounds.

Beyond the stage, the band is deeply committed to music education and outreach. They regularly perform in schools and community centers across the country, using their unique sound and cultural storytelling to inspire the next generation of musicians and support local music programs. Their message is simple: music transcends boundaries and brings people together.

Haydn Vitera’s Mariachi Rock Revolution is not just a band—it’s a movement. Get ready to dance, sing, and join the revolution tonight!
