“Aretha Franklin taught us how to “Think” and demand “Respect…” all while ridin’ on the “Freeway of Love!” In PORTRAIT OF ARETHA, CeCe Teneal honors the legacy of the Queen of Soul with personalized interpretations of both popular and niche songs from this 18-time Grammy Award-winning icon’s 50-year career, including “Chain of Fools,” “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman,” “Rock Steady,” and “Until You Come Back to Me”. This show reminds you of live concert experiences from yesteryear with a fresh perspective brought to life by a fantastic band and amazing singers.”

DREAMCATCHERS The Untold Stories of the Americas…. (World Premiere 2011)
“Cleo II (the 2nd company of Cleo Parker Robinson Dance) blends the traditions of historic and cultural preservation with those of myth and legend, through music, dance and spoken word. “Dreamcatchers” shares stories of iconic African American historic figures of the West, including Clara Brown and James Beckwourth, as well as indigenous and African leaders of the Americas such as Ximalma, and Yanga.”

“The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee”
“A motley crew of six adolescents takes the stage, but only one will earn the champion title in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee! This delightfully witty and heartfelt musical has captivated audiences since its Tony Award-winning premiere in 2005. As the six preteens compete for the title, they tackle tricky words and even trickier circumstances while sharing their often comical and uniquely touching personal stories. Featuring music by two-time Tony winner William Finn and a book by Tony winner Rachel Sheinkin, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee will have you pirouetting with cachinnation in your pew!”
