Northglenn Arts PRESENTS
Yesterday and Today – An Immersive Beatles Experience
February 28, 2026 at 7:30 pm
Billy McGuigan (Vocals/Guitar/Keys) is the creator and producer of several internationally touring shows that have sold out performances and broken box office records nationwide. He has performed with Buddy Holly’s lead guitarist and Grammy winner Tommy Allsup and Rock-a-Billy Hall of Famer Sonny West. Billy has received numerous honors, including the Spotlight Award for Best Actor in a Musical, an Omaha Entertainment & Arts Award, the 40 Under 40 Award, and induction into the Nebraska Music Hall of Fame. He thanks Kate, Cartney, Ciaran, his brothers, this band of family, and John and Missy. This show is dedicated to his father, Bill McGuigan.
Favorite Beatle: My daughter’s namesake of course, Paul McCartney.
Favorite Beatles Song: This is like trying to pick a favorite relative, but I’ll try: The LOVE version of “Being For the Benefit of Mr. Kite” is surprising, exciting and mind blowing. Every time I listen to it, my jaw drops. “For No One” is currently one of my favorites. One of the most beautifully crafted heartbreaking love songs ever written.
Matthew McGuigan (Vocals/Bass/Keys/Guitar) is a graduate of the Pinellas County Center for the Arts, where he studied musical theatre. For over a decade, he has performed with Rave On Productions and most recently served as Music Director for shows including Yesterday and Today, Rave On! The Buddy Holly Experience, and Billy McGuigan’s Pop Rock Orchestra. Matthew earned an OEAA nomination for Hedwig and the Angry Inch and The Rocky Horror Show and won an Omaha Entertainment & Arts Award for Rock of Ages. He is also a dedicated educator at the McGuigan Arts Academy. Matthew dedicates each performance to his wife Julia, sons Lennon and Shawn, and the memory of his father, Bill.
Favorite Beatle: John
Favorite Beatles Song: “Happiness is a Warm Gun”, because it has every angle of a great rock song down, and second: “A Day in a Life”, because it’s a masterpiece.
Ryan McGuigan (Vocals/Guitar/Keys) is a versatile performer with Rave On Productions and a graduate of the Pinellas County Center for the Arts in St. Petersburg, Florida. His theatrical credits include Tony ’n Tina’s Wedding, Jesus Christ Superstar, and The Last Session, earning accolades from the Theatre Arts Guild. Alongside his brothers Billy and Matthew, Ryan performs in Yesterday and Today: The Interactive Beatles Experience. He tours North America with Yesterday and Today, Billy McGuigan’s Pop Rock Orchestra, and Don’t Stop Me Now: A Celebration of Rock Musicals. Favorite roles include Lonnie in Rock of Ages and Dr. Scott in The Rocky Horror Show. He dedicates his performances to his family—Mary, Harry, Josie, and Jackie—and to the memory of Kay J. McGuigan.
Favorite Beatle: No question, John.
Favorite Beatles Song: “And Your Bird Can Sing”. It changes daily, but I love the blend of incredible melody, tight harmonies and “cut-throat” guitars.
Brandon Bakke (Drums) taught himself drums at the age of 15 and has been a fixture of the Omaha original rock scene ever since. Brandon is a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist and attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha as a clarinetist. He has been featured on stage and in the studio in roles ranging from pit orchestra performance to wheelman for various bands’ cross-country touring stints. Outside of musical endeavors, you’ll find Brandon in his shop breathing life back into vintage cars and motorcycles.
Favorite Beatle: Always been a George guy.
Favorite Beatles Song: Let’s go with Octopus’s Garden because it reminds me of listening with my mom as a kid.
Darren Pettit (Saxophone/EWI/Harmonicas/Percussion/Keys/Vocals) received his Bachelors degree in saxophone performance from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, and he received his Masters degree from the University of Cincinnati college conservatory of music. He is currently the Saxophone instructor at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, the director of the Metropolitan Area Youth Jazz Orchestra, and the co-founder of the Omaha Jazz Workshop. He also has a large studio of private students. Darren is in high demand as an active performer and educator in the Omaha area.
Favorite Beatle: My favorite Beatle is all of them together. Not one of them was as good as the combination of the five (including George Martin).
Favorite Beatles Song: “Happiness is a Warm Gun”. Starts with a beautiful ballad, switches to a waltz, and ends with a doo-wop tune. It is constructed brilliantly, and I like the subject matter.
Aaron Slagle (Guitar, Harmonica) has been active in the music scene for over 17 years working both on and off stage. Aaron’s previous touring history includes Guitar Tech for Yesterday and Today: The Interactive Beatles Experience and Audio Engineer for Billy McGuigan. Aaron has performed on stage as the lead guitarist in bands Moses Prey and Icky Thump and he wrote, produced and starred in the web series Restrung.
Favorite Beatle: George Harrison
Favorite Beatles Song: I Want You (She’s So Heavy)

Swallow Hill Music & Northglenn Arts present: BeauSoleil Avec Michael Doucet
For 50 years, Grammy-winning band BeauSoleil avec Michael Doucet has been making potent Cajun music and can be credited with taking it from its regional roots in Louisiana to popularity worldwide.
Born out of the rich Acadian ancestry of its members and driven by bandleader Michael Doucet’s renowned fiddle playing and soulful vocals, BeauSoleil is notorious for bringing even the most no-nonsense audience to its feet. The band’s distinctive sound is a stirring mix of New Orleans jazz, blues, rock, folk, swamp pop, Zydeco, country, and bluegrass.

Screening of Buster Keaton’s “Go West” presented in partnership with Mont Alto Motion Picture Orchestra
Buster Keaton takes Horace Greeley’s advice and heads west, where he finds work on a cattle ranch. He befriends a young milk cow, and they look after each other as he learns the ropes and lassos of ranch life. But when the cattle train ends up at the wrong station, Buster finds he must get the entire herd across Los Angeles by himself.
Rodney from Mont Alto said “We’ve got a new score, there’s beautiful video, and it’s a very entertaining film.”
Catered lunch is offered at the 10am showing.
March 25 at 10am & 7:30pm
