PARSONS THEATRE

Artist BIOS
A Toronto-born singer, songwriter, composer and producer, Abby V is equally at home in Carnatic and Hindustani classical traditions and in the pop, jazz, and film music he grew up on. He broke through in 2020 with “73 Ragas with Abby,” a video that traveled far beyond the classical world and drew in leading vocalists and playback singers from India, many of whom went on to record with him.His playback debut came with “Neelorpam” in Indian 2, composed by Anirudh Ravichander, and his album Aarambh was nominated for the 2025 Juno Award for Global Music Album of the Year. Trained under Ranjani-Gayatri and Raji Gopalakrishnan, and a graduate of the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management with further degrees in vocal performance and production from the Metalworks Institute, he brings a rare combination of classical rigor and studio craft to the stage. Colorado Fine Arts Academy is proud to present him live at Parsons Theater.
