Welcome to The Comedy Studio, at the Parsons Theatre, where we showcase talent, spark laughter, and bring our community together for unforgettable nights of comedy.

The Comedy Studio is curated and coordinated by Eugene Kenny.

Eugene Kenny

Eugene Kenny, a regular at Comedy Works, has been performing stand-up across the country for more than 25 years. He’s been featured on BET’s ComicView and has opened for comedy greats including Dave Chappelle, Larry the Cable Guy, Joe Rogan, Bobby Collins, and Doug Benson. After years on the road, Eugene now brings his talent and passion for comedy to the community, and we’re proud to also have him as a member of the Northglenn Arts Box Office team.

Chris Voth

Headlining is Chris Voth, who has opened for Ron White more than 200 times, and you may have caught him on Last Comic Standing or The Late Late Show. He’s been a regular at Comedy Works for 25 years. His Dry Bar special is Cashmere, and his album is Things to Do in Denver When You’re Dead Tired.

Steve Vanderploeg

Steve Vanderploeg is a Comedy Works regular whose gravelly voice hides how fast the punchlines come. Forty-plus festivals, including SF Sketchfest and High Plains. Founder of Rotating Tap — Westword’s Readers’ Choice for Best Comedy Night in Denver.

Will Frank

Will Frank spent 20 years in the Air Force and came out a retired Master Sergeant with a master’s degree. He now mines parenting, midlife decay, and modern technology for hard laughs. He plays Comedy Works and hosts Midlife Comedy Crisis.

Katie Bowman

Katie Bowman builds voices, act-outs, and uncomfortably relatable bits out of her own life. Her debut album, Neurodivergent Nightmare, went #1 on iTunes and Amazon. She hosts Help Me, I’m Scared and has opened for Atsuko Okatsuka, Todd Barry, and Laurie Kilmartin.
