CAST BIOS

Leah Rodriguez… Narrator 1

This is Leah’s 2nd show ever and she is so happy. She used to take many acting classes, dreaming of being on stage and now is so excited to be. She got so much support from her family (the ATeam) and her wonderful friends. She can’t wait to do more and is so glad people get to see her as a star. No matter how big or small the role is, she is glad to experience being on stage.

Tess Bolz… Narrator 2

This is Tess’s 1st show with NYT! She has previously participated in school plays such as Alice in Wonderland where she appeared as the Duchess. Tess is 15 years old. Aside from theatre, she enjoys band where she plays the flute, reading, and participating in NHS! She would like to thank Liv, Kaitlyn and Colter as well as the amazing cast for seeing her and supporting her throughout her theatre journey!

Layla Stark… Belle

A king, a queen, a lord, and now a princess, this is Layla’s 4th time playing royalty on the NYT stage, with previous roles being Oberon (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), the Queen of Hearts (Alice in Wonderland Jr.), and Lord Clapham (Something Rotten). Fun fact: this is also her 2nd time being French in a Don Zolidis play! Previous shows include The Tempest, The Red Velvet Cake War, Catch Me If You Can, and The Wizard of Oz. A 16-year-old junior at Legacy High, Layla enjoys reading, writing, and digital art. She wants to thank her parents for being supportive through every role big and small!

Grady Quinn… Beast / Creatures of Darkness

Grady is thrilled to be a part of his 5th and last NYT show! Grady is going into his sophomore year at MSU Denver. During his free time, he enjoys skateboarding, martial arts and playing video games. He would like to thank his friends and family for all of their support. He hopes you enjoy the show!

Delaney Haan… Pierre

Delaney is so excited to be in her 4th show at NYT! Some of her past roles have been Girls Chorus in Wizard of Oz, and Captain Scott in Peter and The Starcatcher. Delaney is a Freshman at Erie High where she participates in theater, golf, and orchestra playing the cello. In her spare time, Delaney also loves to read and make small crafts. Delaney would like to thank her family for always supporting her dreams!

Zoe Landgraf… Old Woman / Wicked Queen

Zoe is thrilled to be back at NYT for her 2nd production. Previous shows include The Wizard of Oz, Newsies, Arsenic and Old Lace, Matilda and The Sound of Music. Zoe is an incoming junior at Forge Christian High where she is in choir and drama. When not in a production, Zoe can be found discussing future productions with her friends. She extends heartfelt thanks to her friends and family for their support and to the cast and creatives for making the show so amazing!

Mariana Aburto… Cinderella

Mariana is excited to play in her 11th NYT production! Previous shows include Peter and the Starcatcher (Hawking Clam), The Addams Family (Alchemist Ancestor), The Tempest (Ariel Chorus), and The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon (Princess/Snow White). Mariana will be a freshman at Denver School of the Arts, majoring in theater. Mariana loves serving in her church’s choir, writing, and baking. She would like to thank her friends, family, and the NYT team for their unconditional support throughout her journey.

Desiree Kennison… Fairy Godmother

This is Desiree’s 7th show with NYT previous roles including Bottom in Midsummer Night’s Dream, Grempkin in Peter and the Starcatcher and Antonio in The Tempest. She will be a senior at Eagle Ridge Academy this fall. She loves spending time with her friends and enjoys Speech and Debate. Shout out to Wren Grey and Bella Newton and since they aged out of NYT, she would like to dedicate this performance to them and thank them for all the memories. A big thanks to her little brother for always being at every performance and helping her every step of the way.

Emma McFadden… Voice / Tentacle / Magic / Mouse / Guest

This is Emma McFadden’s 1st NYT show. She has previously been in Cinderella, Finding Nemo, Beauty and the Beast and The Frog Prince with other programs. She is very excited to be here! Emma is entering her sophomore year of high school where she participates in several sports, theater, and orchestra. She loves to stay active, spend time with friends and family, and practice music. Emma wants to thank her family and friends for always supporting her!

Karigan Kirkley… Guest / Voice / Seagull / Magic / Mouse

Karigan joins her 1st NYT show after spending years growing her love of theater in seven NYT Jr. productions. Some of her favorite roles include Dory in Finding Nemo Jr. and Attorney Wombat in Goldilocks on Trial. She has also appeared as Alex in Madagascar Jr. and as Crush in her school’s production of Finding Nemo Jr. Karigan plays the clarinet and bass clarinet, loves bowling, singing lessons, and hiking and riding ATVs in the mountains. She is grateful to Mrs. Grace, her family, Kim, Patrick, and Veronica for supporting her love of performing. She’s honored to be part of this cast and can’t wait for you to see what the cast has created.

Cara Seal… Knight of Thorns / Kid / Guest / Seagull / Mouse / Magic

Cara is ecstatic to be in her 5th NYT show. Some of her favorite memories at NYT include playing Spider in Enchanted Sleeping Beauty and District Attorney Muffinhead in Goldilocks on Trial. She is a student at Century Middle and a member in the Show Choir. Cara enjoys hanging out with friends and family and participating in girl’s rugby. She would like to thank her family and friends for all their support!

Ezra Paul… Kid / Carnie / Guest / Mouse / Magic

This is Ezra’s 2nd NYT show and is so excited to meet new people. Ezra would like to thank NYT and family for being so supportive.

Hope Kerrigan… Brigand / Guest / Mouse / Magic / Voice

Hope is excited for her 1st show with NYT! She is 15 years old and loves hanging out with her 22 goats, 6 sheep, 10 chickens, 3 ducks and cow. She loves horseback riding, sketching, and training her 4-H goats (Jean Luc and Gus).

Logan Spatafore… Mysterious Stranger / Kevin

Logan is excited to be doing his 2nd show with Patrick directing and feels honored to do a world-premiere show. Earlier in the season, Logan performed at NYT in Wizard of Oz(Cowardly Lion) and The Addams Family(Fester) and in his school’s production of Into the Woods(Jack.) He is going into his sophomore year of high school. Outside of theatre, Logan can be found doing arts & crafts, swimming and playing games. Logan would like to thank the cast & crew for collaborating on this fun show!

Keira Quinn… Aurora

Keira is delighted to join the cast and crew and her 9th show with NYT! Some of her favorite previous shows include: The Addams Family, Something Rotten and The Brother’s Grimm Spectaculathon. Keira starts high school this fall where she’s looking forward to becoming involved in theatre, take some cool art classes and trying flag football. She would like to thank her family, friends, the amazing cast and crew, and directors for all of their support!

Alex Johnson… Snow White

This is Alex’s 3rd show with NYT and they are thrilled to be cast as Snow White. It’s the perfect role for them as they love to sing to animals, including their 9 goats who live at The Urban Farm. Alex is a member of the color guard and SOAR program at their school has hopes of studying at CSU to become a veterinarian. Alex would like to thank their little brother Leo for being their biggest fan!

Landon Johnson-Cunningham… Sleeping Handsome / Kid / Magic / Guest / Mouse

Landon is very excited to be a part of his 1st NYT production! Back at his old school, Jefferson Academy Elementary, he played the role of Gurgle in Finding Nemo Jr and Maurice in Madagascar Jr. He wants to thank his family, fellow cast, director, and stage manager for all being so supportive of him!

Addi Schumacher… Unpleasant Dwarf / Kid / Guest / Mouse

Addi goes to DMS where she is enrolled in National Junior Honor Society! She is 12. When not performing she likes crafting, reading, and organizing. Addi has been in a few 5 minute plays and her school’s play, The Little Mermaid. Addi would like to thank her Grandma Julie for sharing her passion, her parents for helping pursue her dreams and her family for always watching her mini shows and cheering her on.

Matthew Webb… King (Eric) / Guest

Matthew is excited to be back for his 4th NYT show – 3 acting and one as a technician. Previously he was in The Tempest, The Addams Family, and Peter And The Starcatcher. He loves creating, he crochets, draws, sings, performs, and designs! This year he will be going into his freshman year at Horizon High where he will be singing and acting as well as joining leadership groups. He wants to thank his Mom and brother, his friends Q, Elena, and Anna, as well as his grandparents for always being there, he would like to give a big shout out to Tobin!

Lavender Vaughn… Ariel

Lavender is ecstatic to be doing their show with NYT! Previous shows include Chicago: Teen Edition, The Importance of Being Ernest, A Chorus Line, The Red Velvet Cake War, and most recently, Catch Me if You Can. Lav will be a Senior at Legacy High, where they are part of choir, theatre, German National Honors Society, and Tri-M. When they are not in the theatre, you can find Lav info-dumping about a new creative project, making plots to prank her brother, or spending time in nature. Lavender would like to thank her family and friends, as well as the cast and crew for their unwavering love and support.

Clayton Dains… Lebron

Clayton is thrilled to be a part of his 4th NYT production! Previous stage credits include: Frozen (Prince Hans), Percy Jackson the Musical (Ensemble), Beauty and the Beast (Gaston), Fairytale High (Gaston/Flynn Rider), Beetlejuice the Musical (Ensemble), and Addams Family the Musical (Gomez). Clayton would like to thank his parents, Erik and Denine, for their constant love and support, and a special shout out to his acting coach, Alie, for her wonderful guidance. He would not be here without all of you. He is grateful to be able to take a 3rd shot at playing the role of Gaston, as well as being able to share the stage with other talented performers. Outside of theater, he enjoys writing, music, and exploring creative projects. He hopes you enjoy the show!

Lilly Harrington … Toady

Lillian, a 9th grader at The Academy of Charter Schools and is excited for her 4th show. Other shows have been Alice in Wonderland, This Murder Was Staged and the most recent was Rouge’s Gallery. At school she is in National Junior Honor Society, Concert Band, and Drama club, but outside of the classroom you can find her monologing dramatic to herself, reading, or drawing while listening to music. She’d like to thank her family and previous drama teachers for encouraging and helping her improve her skills.

Shea Donovan … Fairy Godfather / Kid

Shea is thrilled to be back at NYT! His previous shows include High School Musical Jr., Finding Nemo Jr., Goldilocks on Trial, The Wizard of Oz, and most recently The Little Mermaid Jr. Shea has decided to pursue his upcoming 8th grade year at The Performing School of Arts. He lives and breathes theater and one day inspires to be performing on Broadway. He takes singing lessons by a classically trained opera singer and attends theater camps and workshops. Shea would like to thank his mom for encouraging him to try EVERYTHING and his Dad and two brothers for being his biggest fans.

DaLilah Padilla … Sea Witch / Guest / Skeleton

DaLilah Padilla is a passionate, 13 year old. She is excited to be starting her freshman year at Northglenn High School and is looking forward to be joining their Theatre program. Her acting career started at Silver Hills, in their theater program. Here she became a certified member of the International Thespian Society, after completing two plays. She has participated in two plays with NYT. Making this performance her 5th play. DaLilah is planning a long career in theatre and is thankful to all who have supported her.

Autumn Mariotti… Brigand / Guest / Mouse / Tentacle / Skeleton / Magic / Voice

Autumn is overjoyed to join her 13th NYT production! Previous shows include exploring her tech side in Wizard of Oz and the feisty cat and ensemble in Peter and The Starcatcher. Being a part of the Ariel chorus in The Tempest last summer was one of Autumn’s most favorite theatre experiences ever! In her free time, Autumn is a crocheting magician and avid reader. She looks forward to attending Broomfield High in the fall. She would like to thank her NYT family and all who support her in her theatre endeavors, especially Huckleberry!

Dylan Peters… Mouse / Magic / Guest / Skeleton / Brigand / Voice

Dylan is a (rising) Junior at Legacy High and is excited for her 3rd show with NYT! Aside from the stage, you can find Dylan baking at home (with the kitchen aide she got for her sweet 16, thanks, Dad) or training at the ice rink. She would like to huge thanks to her parents for financially & emotionally supporting her through her many interests, her friends with no relation to theater for coming to shows, and the amazing cast for being an amazing group of people to work with!

Zoe Peterson … Kid / Magic / Mouse / Skeleton / Brigand / Tentacle / Voice

This is Zoe’s 12th show here at NYT, and she is so excited to be a part of this production. Some of her favorite roles have included being a puppeteer in James & the Giant Peach, and Peach in Finding Nemo. Outside of theatre, she enjoys crocheting, drawing, playing piano, singing, and hanging out with her dog, Piper.

Kyleigh Lucas … Mouse / Magic / Tentacle / Brigand / Guest / Voice

Kyleigh is ecstatic to be participating in her 8th NYT production! Her favorite past roles include playing Goldilocks in Goldilocks on Trial and Princess Aurora in Sleeping Beauty. She will be entering the 8th grade at Century Middle where her aura is so fire. She would like to thank her family for tolerating her angst, her ever changing adolescent emotional state, and hearing her material as a future stand up comedian.

UPCOMING AUDITIONS

NYT is committed to providing family-friendly staged entertainment for our community. Each year, NYT mounts seven productions performed at the Parsons Theatre, four productions for NYT (12-18 year old performers) and three for NYT Jr. (8-12 year old performers). To be a part of a production, all NYT shows are audition-based.
