CAST BIOS

Clara Brown – Margie

Clara is excited to be doing her 2nd NYT production.  She was previously pink fluffy girl in Junie B Jones is not a Crook/Junie B Jones Loves Handsome Warren. She has also been in 4 productions with Platte Valley Players- Wacky Cat in Aristocats Kids, Maud Dunlap in Music Man Kids, Grace in Annie Kids and in the Ensemble for Moana Jr. Clara is going into 6th grade and is excited for all that is ahead. When Clara is not acting or performing, you can find her curled up with a great book, which makes her especially excited to be in this production! 

Kaitlyn Judd – Bombalurina

Kaitlyn is excited to be performing in her very first NYT production.  She is a 5th grader at Prospect Ridge Academy.  When not on stage, she enjoys playing tennis, singing in her school’s choir, swimming, and creating art.  Kaitlyn would like to thank her sister, Allie, for inspiring her to get out of her comfort zone and audition for this fantastic production.  She would also like to thank her family and friends for being so supportive.

Layla Korb – Mom

This is Layla’s first NYT show! She has been in four other shows with other theater groups.  She is now going into 7th grade at Bromley East Charter School where she enjoys doing theater activities. Layla loves to paint, read, be outdoors, and hang out with her family. She can play the clarinet and is learning to play the piano. She has enjoyed this show and hopes to do more shows in the future. Layla also wants to give a shout out to her friends for always being super nice and supportive.

Logan Spatafore – Timmy

Logan is excited to be back at NYT for his 5th production.  Previous shows include Frozen, Jr.,  Willy Wonka, Alice in Wonderland and most recently Winnie the Pooh.  Logan is going in to 7th grade at Manhattan Middle school.  When not on stage, you can find Logan at farm summer camp or swimming.  Logan would like to thank his castmates, directors, and stage crew for helping to make such a wonderful show! He also wants to thank the audience members for coming to see the show!

Rocco Wilcox – Robin Hood

Rocco is a 4th grade student at Aspen Ridge Prepatory School. He loves reading, playing video games, working on crazy Lego sets with his big brother and doing anything that lets him use his wild imagination and incredible creativity.  He is super excited and honored to be a part of his very first stage production ever! He has had the time of his life playing this part and making friends with, who he describes as, “my people.”  Rocco would like to say a great big “thank you” to Ms. Jenna, Ms. Adara and the cast for being so welcoming, kind and fun!  

Autumn Mariotti – Tom Sawyer

Autumn is so excited to be a part of the cast of The Enchanted Bookshop! This is her third NYT production. In addition to NYT, Autumn has also enjoyed her roles this year in Footloose Jr and Matilda Jr at The Studio School where she just finished 5th grade. Autumn is looking forward to summer days playing with her new puppy, Huckleberry. She is grateful to her friends, family, cast and crew for making this an amazing show!

Millie Marquez – Sherlock Holmes

It’s no mystery that Millie had a wonderful time working with the delightful cast and crew of The Enchanted Bookshop. For those that need a clue, Millie previously appeared in Frozen Jr. (Middle Anna), Willy Wonka Jr. (Violet Beauregarde) and Alice In Wonderland Jr. (Card). Where did she learn her impressive powers of deduction? Elementary school, my dear Watson.

Allie Judd – Toto

Allie is beyond excited to be performing in her first NYT show.  She has been a huge fan of NYT for a long time and was counting down the days until she was old enough to finally audition.  Allie is a third grader at Prospect Ridge Academy.  She enjoys playing tennis, reading, doing art projects, and is a Greek mythology enthusiast.  She would like to thank her stage manager and director for being great teachers and her friends and family for coming out to see her perform.

Karigan Kirkley – Dorothy

This is Karigan’s first role in NYT. She will be in 5th grade at Jefferson Academy and has appeared in multiple high school productions including the Elephant Bird in Seussical (her first role at the age of 3), Music Man, and a singing role as Young Fiona in Shrek. Outside of acting, she loves anything arts, playing clarinet, gaming and is a junior Girl Scout. Her other favorite passion is her black cat, Lucy. She would like to thank Ms. Grace at Jefferson Academy for giving her the opportunity to fall in love with theatre, Mrs. Gardner, her parents and NYT and the cast. 

Rachel Crosby – Heidi

Rachel is excited to be back at NYT for her third show. Her first show was Alice in Wonderland and her second show was Winnie the Pooh. She also loved playing the role of Eddie last year in her school production of The Enchanted Bookshop. Rachel is a seventh grader at Ascend homeschool co-op and is 12 years old. When she’s not on stage you can find Rachel hanging out with her friends or baking some kind of sweets. Rachel would like to thank Aubrey Jackson and Aliyah Ehlis for helping her get this role, and she would also like to thank her dad.

Emmalie Matthies  – Pollyanna

Emmalie is excited to be back with NYT for her second production. She loved playing “Daisy” in Alice in Wonderland. She is looking forward to being a middle schooler in the Fall at Century Middle School. She had a busy school year being on Tarver News and running with Girls on the Run. She is looking forward to spending time with her family this summer. She would like to thank her parents and siblings for all the love. 

Xander Harrison – Book Fairy

Xander Harrison is going to be a 6th grader at Stargate.  This is his second performance at NYT.  Xander is very excited to be a part of The Enchanted Bookshop. He loves theater, swimming, golf, has a great sense of humor, and most of all enjoys time with his friends. He is very grateful for all the love and support he receives from family and friends.  

Viv Shumate – Lady in Red

Viv is thrilled to make their NYT debut as The Lady in Red in The Enchanted Bookshop. Previously, they have been in Showtime on the Showboat (Sadie LaRue), Happily Never After (Pond Princess), Rapunzel (Prince Lewellyn) and Alice in Wonderland  (White Rabbit) at The Jesters in Longmont. Viv will be a sixth grader at Century Middle School this fall. When they’re not acting they love writing stories, singing and reading. They’d like to thank their family and friends for always being there for them. They hope that all of you read good books!

Ellie Wagers – Fagin

Ellie is excited to perform again with NYT. Ellie is a 6th grader at Stuart MS and is aiming to be a successful actor and author. Ellie enjoys standing up for social justice, writing, reading, and also hanging out with friends.  Ellie would like to thank her mom, Tracy, for always having her back, her brother for helping her practice for success, her grandparents, her amazingly weird friends, the NYT team, and all the cast members for being supportive and encouraging.

Charlotte Gemperline – Long John Silver

Charlotte Gemperline is excited to be performing in her first Northglenn Youth Theater production. She has been involved in the NYT theater program for several years, participating in various classes and camps. She has also performed as The Wizard in The Wizard of Oz and appeared in The Sound of Music. She loves attending professional theatre productions, and some of her favorites include Les Miserables, Frozen, Lion King and Aladdin. She is very excited to finally be a part of a real show she already can’t wait to do it again! 

Mariana Aburto – Officer Ketchum

Mariana is overjoyed to be part of her second NYT production. As an ardent fan of Harry Potter, Emma Watson, and Millie Bobby Brown, she embraces the challenge of performing with a British accent, infusing her portrayal of Officer Ketchum with an authentic touch. Her passion for the arts has been nurtured through workshops at NYT. Beyond the stage, Mariana is an active student, participating in various clubs in her school and volunteering as a Spanish interpreter for other kids. Mariana would like to thank her family for their support and the NYT for this opportunity.

Ian Amaro – Fingers

Ian is absolutely stoked to back for his 2nd performance with NYT! Before this production, he starred as Rabbit in Winnie the Pooh, the Musical. He is a soon-to-be 7th grader at Rocky Top middle School. He loves all things art related: singing, dancing, acting, drawing, and film making. Aside from that, he is a lover of video games and hanging out with his friends. He would like to thank his parents and his theatre peers for cheering him on and believing in him. 

Chloe Hinton – Eddie

Chloe is thrilled to be in her fourth NYT production! She has been in many previous shows which include the NYT productions of Alice in Wonderland, Willy Wonka Jr, and Winnie the Pooh. She has also acted in her school’s performances of Toy Camp, Big Bad: The Musical, and James and the Giant Peach.  Chloe will be a 7th grader at Bromley East Charter School in Brighton. When she is not acting, she enjoys cooking and painting. She would like to thank the cast and crew for being so supportive and kind during this amazing show!

Emma McPherson – Doctor Dolittle

This is Emma’s first show with NYT and she is thrilled to be a part of this wonderful theatre production. Other activities Emma enjoy are artistic swimming, musical theatre dance, going to Water World with her mom, and watching the Naruto series with her dad. Emma would like to thank City of Northglenn and Northglenn Arts and Humanities Foundation for their part in making these productions possible!

Gabby Herd – Queen of Hearts

Gabby is happy to be back at NYT for her 2nd production. Previously she was in the show Winnie the Pooh. She is excited to be in her most recent show The Enchanted Bookshop. Gabby is going into 6th grade at Rocky Top Middle School this year. She is excited to participate in many clubs and activities. When she’s not participating in theatre, she can be found swimming, roller skating, or playing ukulele. Gabby would like to thank everyone in the cast and crew for making this production happen! She would also like to thank her family for supporting her!!

Aksel Gangji – Frankenstein

Aksel is thrilled to be a part of such a fantastic show! This is Aksel’s 8th show overall, and 5th at NYT.  His most recent performances were Mike Teavee in Willy Wonka Jr. and Oaken in Frozen Jr.  When not performing you can find him playing clarinet, piano, or swimming on the Fusion Team. He is a 7th grader at Rocky Top Middle School. Aksel would like to thank his family for giving him a “gentle” push into theater and he is thankful for all the opportunities he’s had since.

Livy Cosgrove – The Wicked Witch of the West

Livy is going into 5th grade at The Studio School. She is playing The Wicked Witch of the West in her second NYT production. She was a forest animal in Winnie the Pooh. She recently played a school girl in Matilda Jr. and has been in numerous other productions at school. She also enjoys gymnastics and anything to do with animals. She would like to thank her family and friends for their support. 

Brycen Cosgrove – Hopalong Cassidy

Brycen is excited to play Hopalong Cassidy in this production of The Enchanted Bookshop. He has also been a part of Willy Wonka, Alice in Wonderland, and Winnie the Pooh with NYT. Brycen just finished 5th grade at the Studio School and has performed in numerous productions there. He has discovered a love of technical theatre as well.
