Stonehocker Porch Concerts
First Thursdays | August-October | Stonehocker Western Heritage Park, 10950 Fox Run Parkway
This is the first series at the Stonehocker House, Northglenn’s oldest remaining home, built in 1903. Originally planned as a house concert performance, but due to COVID, we will move the first series to the lawn with the artists performing on the porch. House concerts have a different feel than a typical summer concert program in that singer/songwriters share more of their story and background along with their music. Following a more relaxed “house concert” feel, the event will allow a maximum of 75 people.
September 2 at 6:30 PM
Cost: $15 Ticket Only | $25 Ticket & Two Beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic available)
Zoe Berman is a singer-songwriter currently based in Denver. Frequently performing as a one-woman band, she accompanies her sultry vocals on the piano and guitar, often complemented by a hand-built suitcase drum played with her feet.
Zoe “combines musicality and lyrical poeticism into a hypnotizing mélange of soul, jazz, and Americana music” to create a unique sonic experience that defies traditional genre classifications. Her songs are often autobiographical, brimming with relatable narrative and sensorial imagery.
Zoe grew up in Simsbury, Connecticut. She started taking piano lessons as a young child and picked up the guitar as a teenager. She first began writing original music at the age of 12 and moved on to performing in various venues as a high school student. She has enjoyed sharing her music with fellow community members ever since, playing at a wide variety of venues and events and collaborating with a myriad of like-minded musicians.
Growing up, Zoe was heavily influenced by Billy Joel, James Taylor, Stevie Wonder and Earth, Wind & Fire. Sonically, she is often compared to the likes of Norah Jones, Amy Winehouse, and Lake Street Dive.
