Tires and Spokes
by artist Sean Mueller

Tires and Spokes, which was part of the 2016/17 Art on Parade program, will be dedicated and permanently placed at Eleanor M Wyatt Centennial Park Sculpture Garden.  The dedication is slated to take place on Thursday, April 26 at 10 am.  Tires and Spokes was purchased by Northglenn resident Steve Austin and will be donated to the city on behalf of the Northglenn Bike Program. Austin is an ardent volunteer for the group.  He and other volunteer “bike guys” work on bicycles every Monday and Tuesday morning at the city’s bike shop.  The bikes are then shared with families in our community.

The morning events will include a celebration of the Northglenn Bike Program through the dedication of the sculpture with students from Global Village Academy.  After the dedication, students are invited to the east side of the park to celebrate Arbor Day with Joel Szymanski from our Parks Department.  Szymanski will be planting a tree at Centennial Park and students will be given seedlings to take home and plant in their own yards.

Join us in the celebration of our newest sculpture, Northglenn’s Bike Program and Arbor Day – all on April 26!
